Livia has worked as Producer/ Director for many years, travelling to remote parts of the world making adventure and anthropology documentaries. She most recently created, produced and presented Channel 4’s Extreme Tribe: The Last Pygmies. The series followed her journey as she spent five months living with a hunter-gatherer tribe in the rain forests of the Congo.

She was nominated for a BAFTA, Grierson and Broadcast Award for Channel 4’s “The Tribe”. Livia has also directed numerous Ben Fogle: New Lives in the Wild after creating the style and format of the first episode. She worked on World’s Most Dangerous Roads, series directed The Great Migration and created Woolly Mammoth: The Autopsy, Return of the Mammoth, Little British Isles with Alison Steadman and The Great Polar Bear Feast. With a passion for the natural world, immersing herself in harsh environments and embedding in unusual worlds she loves to both develop and direct.
